How to Install a Limetron Hard Water Conditioner Descaler [VIDEO]

Limescale is a horrible, never-ending problem if you have hard water in your area.

It scales up your bathroom, toilet and tapware, making cleaning a whole lot harder. It also causes damage to your home over time; costing you time and money.

Today we will be showing you all the steps involved in installing your Limetron Hard Water Conditioner.

How to Install a Limetron Hard Water Conditioner

Step 1: Determine the best place to install the Limetron.

There are two places to install a Limetron Hard Water Conditioner.

If you're installing a Whole House Water Filter, you can install the Limetron just before that. Alternatively, you will always be able to install it at your water meter.

Dig out around the pipes with a shovel or your gardening tools, so you have the clearance you need for the installation.

Step 2: Turn off the water mains.

Depending on the size of your Limetron, a plumber will use the correct fittings from the water meter or pipework to install the Limetron in line with the pipes. The most common Limetron is a half-inch or 15 millimetres in diameter.

The plumber will likely need a connection to bring it down to this size.

In the video above, the original pipework at the water meter was three-quarter inch which is also common.

Step 3: Once the Limetron is in place, the plumber will reconnect it to the original pipework that leads to your home.

To do this you have to unscrew the primary connection back at the water meter then connect it to the original pipework, then screw it back into the water meter.

Step 4: Test for leaks.

Do this by slowly turning on the mains water again and seeing if there are any leaks.

Depending on how accessible your water meter is, the installation process can take as little as 30 minutes.

If you have dug around your pipework, don't fill it in just yet. You need to recheck it in 48 hours to make sure it still hasn’t leaked.

Step 5: Fill the dirt back in.

Once you have waited 48 hours and there have been no leaks, you can fill the dirt back in around the Limetron.

The Limetron Hard Water Conditioner Descaler is stainless steel and has a one-year satisfaction, money-back guarantee, a 10-year warranty and 15 years life expectancy.

The Limetron Hard Water Conditioner is a great product. You don't have to worry about its durability out in the elements or underground with your pipes.

With the help of your local plumber, your hard water issues are solved within 30 minutes.
