Purefer Spun Filters are manufactured using Virgin 100% Polypropylene that is blown and spun simultaneously to form the filter cartridge. This process allows the cartridge to be manufactured without using a centre core which would restrict performance. Melt blown filters also do not contain adhesives or binders so there is no chemical residual left in the filtered water.

Purefer’s range of Polypropylene Spun Filters are compatible with most liquids and are highly effective at reducing Sediment, Rust, Sand, Silt and Algae. The Gradient Design enables the cartridge to have a heavier sediment load before compromising pressure or flow in a system, this allows the filter to perform exceptionally over its entire lifespan.

Stage 2: Pure LPD 20 Micron Low Pressure Carbon Block Whole House Water Filter Replacement Cartridge 20" x 4.5

Pure Coconut Carbon Block Filters are made from a combination of high-performance coconut shell carbon, unique binders and industry leading manufacturing processes to deliver trade quality carbon block filters. They deliver exceptionally low pressure drop while maintaining a high dirt holding capacity with excellent contaminant reduction capabilities.

Pure Carbon Blocks are registered in compliance with NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 61 for several things, including VOC’s, THM’s, Lead & Heavy Metal Reduction, Chloramine Reduction & Chlorine Taste & Odour reduction. This also includes meeting standards of purity & safety of the materials used.

LPD Filters are utilised in cases that require the chemical reduction capacity of a carbon block, combined with the flow rate capacity and differential pressure drop of an impregnated Pleated Filter. The coarser micron rating of 20uM allows the filter cartridge to process a higher volume of water with as little resistance as possible. The success of this cartridge comes by way of the special combination of materials and high iodine number to provide chemical absorption you would expect from a standard CTO cartridge, while at the same time having almost 30% less media creating a thinner block wall, allowing water to flow at a higher rate with little resistance.

Stage 3: Pure CRC 0.5 Micron Chloramine Reduction Carbon Block Whole House Water Filter Replacement Cartridge 20" x 4.5"

Pure's CRC range of Coconut Carbon filters are a market leader when it comes to the removal of monochloramine from municipal water. Free chlorine can be easily removed from water with minimal contact time, however now most municipal water supplies in Australia are using Monochloramine. Monochloramine is an ammonia bonded Chlorine molecule (NH2Cl) which is an inorganic compound. While monochloramine is noted to produce lower (but still present) levels of chlorocarbons and carbon tetrachloride levels, there are other known health risks that can be far more serious.

Installation

Where to install your new water filter system

Take a look at the videos below explaining how you can find your incoming water pipe. Once the main water pipeline is exposed, try to have the water filter connection after the point that your garden & lawn reticulation is connected. This way the filter is not filtering water that just flows onto the yard. If not possible or you would like to filter the water free from Chloramine so the garden grows better that is ok, just install the system where you want.
